Trading and arbitrage bet sequences

Trading is the exploitation of price movements over time

To trade on a price rise, you would lay first and then back later at a higher price to close out the trade. Likewise, trading on a price fall would involve backing first and then laying later at the shorter price to green up. This calculator calculates the stake of the second trade-closing bet that would ensure an immediate level profit.

Arbitrage is the exploitation of existing price discrepancies

Sometimes can back a selection at a higher price than you can lay it at another betting site (betting exchange). Your stakes may be constrained by maximum stake limits, available exchange liquidity or just your budget. This calculator calculates the required stakes for both the back and lay bets given any specifc constraint.
